Radio's Quartz Carbonic has taken it right up to the custom bike market and disses the notion that you need to spend twice this amount to access a high end frame and components.

Arise is Radio's new component brand and comes out swinging with a solid track record of wins on the board. The Arise hubs have already already proven their reputation here at the shop, being the basis for several wheel builds since being released. The cold-forged Arise cranks will be up for any amount of horsepower to, with a 24mm cromo spindle a well proven component in high end cranks.

The bike is based upon Radio's aftermarket Quartz super-lightweight alloy frame, a x6-time world championship winning frame no less! It features a new sliding disc dropout with flat mount brakes and super stealthy cable routing.

Features

Carbon fork and carbon rims. An Arise carbon fibre fork and Arise Solar Pro carbon rims come fitted, so there is no ground up build and no waiting.
Six-time world championship winning frame. The aftermarket Quartz Disc frame is lightweight hydroformed 6061-T6 alloy with a tapered head tube, sliding forged dropouts and internal cable routing.
Hydraulic flat mount disc brake. The Arise Xenon disc runs a 120mm rotor, with a lever you can flip to either hand.
Cold forged Arise cranks. The Argon 2-piece crank turns on a 24mm chromoly spindle, a well proven setup that will take any amount of horsepower.
Fully sealed, high engagement hubs. Arise Echo hubs are CNC alloy and fully sealed, and the 6-pawl cassette picks up quickly when you drop in at the gate.

Assembly information

Your race bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Spin the rear wheel and check the rotor runs clear of the calliper
Check the brake and tyre pressure before the first ride

Disc brakes: keep your fingers off the rotor and pads, because oil from your skin contaminates the braking surface and takes the bite away. If the rotor rubs, loosen the two calliper bolts, squeeze the lever, then tighten them again with the lever held on. Bed the brake in with a few firm stops before you race it.

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm spanner for the pedals. Check your axle hardware, since race bikes vary between bolt-on nuts and a thru-axle.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.
