Onyx

Onyx have become synonymous with almost all of the BMX race wheel builds and custom bikes we build here in the LUXLAB as their quality is easily amongst the highest of any BMX race product we stock here at LUXBMX. Manufactured entirely in-house at Onyx in the USA, they convert raw aluminium and stainless steel into some of the most robust BMX race hubs seen the race world, handling the massive instant hits that elite BMX racers dish out on that first pedal out of the gate. This manufacturing process means that they have full control of quality of each hub which is second to none and far in excess of what factories in other parts of the world can implement. 

A feature of the Onyx range is the ability to configure the top two tiered rear hubs in the BMX series either as a 10mm bolt-up hub, or a 15mm thru-bolt hub, and in the case of the Ultra SS, a 20mm thru-bolt set up. In the front hubs, 100/10mm helix and solid shelled hubs can be set up as a 10mm bolt-up, or 20mm thru-bolt hub. This versatility means that when you switch frames, you can do so without worrying if your wheels are going to be compatible, just change out the axle set up
