Description

The Meybo 2024 Holeshot Pro L (Pro 21) Frame is the first Pro sized frame in the line up for this Dutch company that has stamped its authority on the BMX race world over the past several years. For the 2024 alloy Holeshot frames, the V-brake mounts have be dropped in favour of a disc caliper mount, making this the first BMX race company to be 100% disc brake across all its models.

What makes Meybo stand out from the other BMX race companies out there is their commitment to progression and to partner with some of the fastest racers on the planet who provide a feedback loop on product development. Starting with the HSX series of frames that were disc only, this braking system has made its way onto the Holeshot range.

Meybo's colours and finishes are always appreciated by their customers, and by us here at the shop as well with the workshop crew, with the boys appreciating the ease at which these frames build up into a complete bike.

Manufactured from 6061 T-6 multiple butted hydroformed tubing, Meybo have ex-racers at the helm and it shows in the execution of the product, and in the geometry of the frames. With World Cup winners, World Championships and an Olympic gold medal to their name, the racers that ride for Meybo all started somewhere and provide input not only on the Pro frames, but every frame in the range.

Some might ask, "what's the advantage of disc brakes on a BMX race bike?" From our perspective, one advantage is aesthetically the frames just look cleaner. Especially with an integrated caliper mount. Second advantage? Your youngest racers don't have a lot of hand strength and with a quality hydro disc set up, slowing down and stopping becomes a breeze for them. The third appealing feature of disc brakes is that they require virtually zero maintenance. No continual adjusting of the brake arms to centre them, no cable stretching leading to a decline in braking performance. Heaven we reckon.

The 2024 colours will be hit too we think and the Australian allocation of these frames won't last long, so if you're a fan and wanting to order one, jump on them today!
