The Fiend Reynolds V4 Frame (Garrett Reynolds Signature) is a gold BMX bike frame constructed from heat-treated 4130 chromoly, featuring bold black “Always Fiending” lettering on the lower tube, displayed against a plain white background.

Description

La Gaz, the framiest of frames. The new V4 Reynolds frame was designed by Garrett Reynolds himself and built for the streets, with the details to back that up.

It is heat treated 4130 chromoly throughout: an internally gusseted top tube, an external gusset on the down tube, double butted top and down tubes, a heat treated mid bottom bracket and head tube, and an externally butted seat tube with an integrated post clamp. The 8mm investment cast dropouts run integrated chain tensioners. Brake hardware is sold separately.

Features

Garrett Reynolds signature frame. The fourth version of Garrett's frame, designed by him and built around the way he rides street.
Heat treated 4130 chromoly. Heat treatment carries through the mid bottom bracket and head tube, the two junctions that take the worst of it.
Internal and external gussets. An internally gusseted top tube keeps the outside clean, while an external gusset backs up the down tube.
8mm investment cast dropouts. Thick cast dropouts with integrated chain tensioners, so the wheel holds its place through hard landings.
2.26 kg for the 20.75". Double butted top and down tubes and an externally butted seat tube keep the weight down. Brake hardware is sold separately.

The height bands overlap on purpose. If you land in two of them, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park. Plenty of riders, pros included, deliberately ride longer than a chart suggests.

How to measure

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the length of the tube you can see. Measure your current frame that way and compare.

Size up for stability through trails and transitions.
Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
Top tube is fixed once you buy, but chainstay length, stem length, fork offset and bar position all change how the built bike feels.
