New colours for the 2024 Speedco M2 Alloy Youth frames bring a fresh update and confirm that the V-brake is not quite dead, yet! The Speedco M2 youth series retains the brake post mounts on the seat stay, though you have the option to run disc brakes using the M2 adapter.
Reliable 7005 series aluminium is used to manufacture the Speedco youth series of frames, tubing that is heat treated and double butted for weight reduction and increased strength. The down tube is tapered and wider at the bottom bracket to provide increased stiffness in this critical area. Bottom line, these are super light aluminium frames.
Additional features of the M2 frames include a seamless integrated chain tensioner system and internal cable routing from front of top-tube to mid seat-stay exiting right at the brake caliper, keeping the hydraulic hose protected as possible.
