Description

The Raven Trickster is a 12 inch balance bike built to get little kids rolling before pedals come into it. The frame is lightweight alloy to keep the weight down, the fork is Hi-Ten, and both wheels run sealed bearings for smooth cruising. Raven recommends it for wee riders 60 to 91cm tall.

Alloy runs right through the build: alloy bars, an alloy front load 4-bolt stem, single wall 20H rims and an alloy seat post, all of it keeping the bike light enough for small legs to handle. A fixed BMX saddle and 12 inch tyres finish it off, and the paintjobs this year are popping. Pedals are not included.

Features

Lightweight alloy frame. Alloy keeps the weight down, so a small rider can pick the bike up and steer it themselves.
Sealed bearings front and rear. Both alloy 3/8" hubs run sealed bearings, so the wheels keep spinning smoothly with very little upkeep.
Sized for 60 to 91cm riders. Raven recommends the Trickster for wee riders between 60 and 91cm tall, so it covers the years before a pedal bike.
Alloy cockpit throughout. Alloy bars sit in an alloy front load 4-bolt stem on a 1 1/8" loose ball headset.
No pedals in the way. The Trickster is a balance bike and pedals are not included, so the rider can scoot and steer without anything to trip on.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.
