Radio have been quietly chipping away at development on their Quartz frame since its introduction a few years back to a point where it's one of the most advanced aluminium race frames available.
For 2025 one of the innovations is the Sliding Dropout Disc System (SDDS) which utilises a flat mount style calliper and internal cable routing. This not only gives the frame a clean look, the flat mount caliper system is in our opinion one of the best disc brake designs for BMX frames. BMX race bikes don't require large rotors to dissipate heat after repeated braking efforts, meaning that a small 120mm rotor can be utilised, keeping weight low and hardware tucked away from harms way.
Speaking of dropouts, the 2025 Quartz frame can be built up with either a 10mm bolt-up rear hub, or a 15mm thru-bolt hub.
The frames are manufactured from 6061-t6 hydroformed Paradigm superior tubing, which means that Radio can dial in where the frames require strength and beef up the tubing thickness, and shave that wall thickness right down in areas that don't require it. Leading to a class leading lightness for an aluminium pro frame.
