Pillar PSR spokes are cold forged from Swiss grade Sandvik T302+ stainless steel. Pillar patented 2.2mm j-bend, provides are 20% more strength than any other straight gauge spoke on the market, without increasing weight.
Most "straight gauge" (championship level) spokes are 14g (2.0mm) at the head, then 14g (2.0mm) all the way to the thread. (Often referred to as a "standard" 14g spoke)
The PSR+ Standard has all those standard features, but improves things by adding a very short 2.2mm butted section at the spoke head to strengthen it at this high load area.
In both real world and laboratory testing, this has proven to strengthen the spoke at this crucial point by 4 times over a regular (non PSR+) spoke.
