The Springfield brake relies on the one visible spring for tension, which means all you have to do is put the brakes on and tighten them down. No adjusting, it's ready to go. The Springfield lever can be installed without having to remove the grip, and takes design cues from the popular Monolever. Who says inexpensive parts need to be crappy?
