In response to the success of the popular Title series of BMX race bikes, Mongoose decided to level-up for the more advanced riders out there. The Mongoose Title Elite Pro XL BMX race bike is designed for intermediate skills all the way to Pro and gives you the high-end performance you need to come out of the gates hot!

Features

Race bike for the gate. Built for intermediate riders through to Pro, with the high end performance you need to come out of the gate hot.
Tectonic T1 aluminium race frame. Biaxial hydroformed and butted 6061 with 3D forged 10 mm dropouts, a tapered head tube and internal cable routing, at 1.5 kg.
175mm Samox alloy cranks. A 24 mm hollow spindle in a BB86 press-fit sealed bottom bracket, geared 44T to 16T for speed off the gate.
Arisun XLR8 race tyres. A 1.95 in front and narrower 1.75 in rear on Xposure Infinity-XD double wall rims, 32H front and 36H rear.
XL cockpit for taller riders. A 21.26 in top tube with 27.5 in chromoly bars, lock-on grips and a QR seat clamp, suggested height 5'7" to 6'0".

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.
