The Legion L100 was designed to be a fully park, street and dirt worthy BMX bike that offers everything a rider could need from beginner level curb jumps all the way up to advanced aerial tricks on a quarterpipe!

The Mongoose L100 frame is made of high-quality Chromoly, which is a type of steel that is strong and durable. This makes it ideal for riding on any terrain, as it can withstand the bumps and bruises that come with shredding.

Removable Brake Mounts: The Mongoose full 4130 Chromoly frame comes with removable brake mounts, which means you can easily switch between brakes and no brakes.

In addition to the Chromoly frame, the Mongoose bike also features 175mm 2-piece tubular chromoly hollow spindle cranks. This type of crank is designed to be lightweight yet durable, making it perfect for BMX riding. It also comes with a 25T alloy chainring and a mid-sealed bearing bottom bracket, which provide smooth and reliable performance.

The Mongoose L100 also comes with wide aluminum double wall 36H rims. These rims are designed to be strong and durable, which makes them ideal for off-road riding. They also come with 20” x 2.4” tires, which provide excellent traction and stability on any terrain.

The bike also features a 3/8” female axle front hub and 9T cog sealed bearing cassette rear hub.

Features

Full 4130 chromoly frame and fork. Strong, durable steel that takes the bumps and knocks of park, street and dirt, from first kerb jumps to quarterpipe airs.
Removable brake mounts. Run the aluminium U-brake while you are learning, then take the mounts off for a clean frame once you ride brakeless.
175mm 2-piece tubular chromoly cranks. The hollow spindle keeps them light, and a mid sealed bearing bottom bracket with a 25T alloy chainring keeps the drive smooth.
Wide double wall rims, 2.4" tyres. Xposure Infinity-XD 36H rims with 30 mm inner width give strength off road, and the tyres add traction on rough ground.
9T sealed cassette rear hub. Sealed bearings on a 14 mm axle, matched with 29 in chromoly bars, a 50 mm top load stem and a Pivotal seat.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Top Tube Length - 21

A 20 inch bike is the standard adult BMX and suits riders from about 147cm up. At this wheel size the top tube is what changes the fit, so pick that by height.

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. If you land in two bands, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the same as the length of the tube you can see.

A 20 inch bike is the standard adult BMX and most riders end up there, so do not size a tall child down to a smaller wheel.
22, 24 and 26 inch bikes are adult bikes with a bigger wheel, not bigger frames for taller riders.
Size up for stability through trails and transitions. Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
Top tube is fixed, but stem length, fork offset and bar position all shift how roomy the bike feels once you are on it.
