According to BOX Components, their Box One 120 TPI Folding Tyres were engineered with a minimalist approach to hit lofty goals for weight, traction, rolling resistance, and rebound. At the guts of the tyre is a super-supple 120TPI casing where BOX forced in as much rubber displacing nylon as possible. with further technology such as the high-density casing with a tightly packed hoop of aramid fibres. Wrapped around all this tech is a BMX race specific tread that transitions from a centre band with a large contact patch to unidirectional tactile knobbies on the sides. Just in case your local still has dirt turns (remember those?)
This aggressive combination of materials and technology affords the rider maximum traction out of the gate, stickiness in corners and low rolling resistance on the straights for more outright speed! A by-product of all this tech is a lightweight performance tyre and with BOX Components being no stranger to producing fast products, these updated tyres are sure to be seen on podiums across the world.
