We Need Your Help - Traction CEO Bike Build

Help us use BMX to help disadvantaged and at-risk youth! That's right, now is the time for the BMX community to congregate and help use BMX to better the lives of those who need it most! We really need your help to get close to our target of $5000 each.

TRACTION is a not-for-profit organisation that provides an opportunity for disadvantaged young people to work within a workshop environment, where they can complete their own projects, one being the building of a customised BMX bike alongside Traction mentors that the participant gets to keep! LUXBMX has a longstanding relationship with TRACTION, and this year both of LUXBMX’s founders – Evan Jaques and Mitch Wood will participate in TRACTION's ‘CEO Bike Build’, where they will team up with a TRACTION youth participant to assemble a BMX within a 3-hour time frame. The TRACTION youth participant will be Evan and Mitch’s leader, guiding THEM through the process, and in doing so, demonstrating their learned skills and knowledge. In 2022, participating CEO’s raised $140,000 and helped 60 young people.

This year, Mitch and Evan need YOUR help raising funds to allow them to participate in the CEO bike build, helping today's future youth. Each CEO's individual, goal is $5,000, however, you can donate as little or as much as you'd like! Taking part in the CEO Bike Build allows the TRACTION youth participants to: Feel more confident in setting goals. Feel hopeful about their options for the future. Experience a sense of success. Develop practical and teamwork skills. Become more respectful and think about how their choices and how they affect other people and would you believe that 94% of young participants report feeling more confident, and 92% report feeling more positive about themselves?
